Narratives
This series grew out of my abstract work. I started to see birds, animals and people emerge from the collages. It was as if they wanted to become the main focus of these pieces and tell their own stories. Although my creatures have a sense of whimsy, I feel like there is something deeper as well. It is as if they have gone through personal struggles but still remain hopeful. Perhaps they echo the irony and resilience of life that resonates within me.
